CASABLANCA, October 25, 2026
Binance announced PREDICTUSDT pre-market perpetual trading for October 25 with up to 5x leverage, adding a derivative tied to prediction-market operator Predict.fun as Bitcoin trades below $81,000.
The exchange’s updated notice gives an 08:15 UTC start. The contract settles in USDT and provides exposure to the project’s PREDICT token, rather than to the result of an election, sports match or other event on Predict’s platform.
Bitcoin closed October 24 at $80,769.67, down 0.380%, after trading between $78,507 and $81,253, according to ChartExchange’s historical table. Those completed-session figures describe the wider market, without establishing a price response to the listing.
In its launch notice, Binance said a futures listing does not indicate or guarantee a Binance Spot listing. That distinction limits what traders can infer from the new contract about access to the underlying token.
The announcement follows other efforts to widen access to event markets, including Phantom’s US Kalshi rollout. Binance’s new product serves a different purpose: trading a token price rather than selecting an event outcome.

PREDICT futures use pre-market pricing
The notice lists a minimum quantity of one PREDICT and a minimum order value of 5 USDT. Both conditions apply; a one-token order does not necessarily meet the value threshold. It also gives total and maximum supply as one billion tokens, without specifying circulating supply.
Binance’s pricing documentation explains the central difference from a standard perpetual. During pre-market trading, the mark price uses the preceding 10 seconds of contract trades, recalculated each second. If that window contains fewer than 21 trades, it uses the last 20 transaction prices.
The mark is an accounting reference used to calculate unrealized gains and losses and assess liquidation, rather than a promise that an order can execute at that price. A quoted last trade and the mark can therefore differ.
Standard perpetuals generally incorporate a price index drawn from spot venues. The pre-market method instead relies on the derivative’s own executions before a stable index becomes available. Early contract prices should not be treated as a confirmed spot valuation.
The launch terms also limit changes in the mark to 1% in either direction per second during the pre-market and transition phases. This constrains the reference price’s movement between updates, rather than placing a 1% limit on a trader’s total possible loss.
Daily Crypto Briefs previously examined the pricing rules for Binance’s gold and silver perpetuals. PREDICT’s launch illustrates why the methodology for the particular contract matters alongside its headline leverage limit.
PREDICT funding starts at 0.005%
The announced pre-market funding rate is 0.005% every four hours. Once the pre-market phase ends, the notice allows standard funding rates as high as positive or negative 2%. Those bounds are not a forecast of what traders will pay.
Binance’s funding guide describes payments exchanged between opposing positions. Positive funding means long holders pay short holders; negative funding reverses the direction. Funding is separate from the profit or loss caused by a changing contract price.
The calculation uses position value, rather than only the cash posted as margin. For illustration, an unchanged 10,000 USDT position at 0.005% produces a 0.50 USDT funding payment at one settlement. Six such intervals would total 3 USDT, assuming the same value and rate throughout.
That arithmetic is a cost illustration, not observed PREDICT trading data. It excludes trading commissions and price movements. Holding a position only between funding settlements also differs from keeping it open through a settlement time.
The exchange says funding can come from available account funds and, if insufficient, position margin. That can affect liquidation exposure. A small percentage does not make funding irrelevant when leverage increases the position controlled by a given margin balance.
Predict event shares are a separate product
Predict describes itself as a BNB Chain venue launched in 2025 for trading outcomes across politics, sports, crypto and current affairs. Its project page says event resolution uses UMA’s optimistic oracle, with disputed outcomes potentially going to a token-holder vote.
Those event positions have their own mechanics. Predict’s yield guide says eligible markets route USDT collateral through Venus Protocol. Returns vary with lending-pool utilization, and Predict takes a 10% management fee from earned yield.
Not every market qualifies. The guide identifies eligible positions with a Yield badge and says distributions are weekly. It also warns that a liquidity shortage at Venus can temporarily delay claims, even though it does not change the event’s outcome.
None of those features establishes that holding PREDICTUSDT on Binance earns the same yield or owns an event share. The announcement does not extend Predict’s collateral-yield program to the futures contract.
Fear & Greed Index
October 25, 2026Source: Alternative.me, checked October 25: 54, Neutral, versus 51 a day earlier. The index measures broad Bitcoin sentiment, rather than demand for PREDICT.
Binance’s documentation says conversion to standard pricing depends on a stable spot-market index and leaves the transition’s duration dependent on market conditions. The next concrete developments are that transition and any separately announced spot listing; the launch notice supplies no guaranteed Binance Spot date.
