SAN SALVADOR, Oct. 28, 2026
Bitget Wallet launched USD and EUR virtual receiving accounts through Noah, citing approximately $2 in wallet fees on a $500 ACH transfer as crypto payment providers expand access to stablecoins.
The feature gives eligible users account details inside the self-custodial wallet. Incoming bank transfers become USDT or USDC automatically; outbound bank transfers remain planned for the coming months.
The launch arrives against a mixed crypto backdrop. Bitcoin closed the completed October 27 UTC session at $80,795.08, up 0.983%, after trading between $79,365.93 and $81,441.52, according to ChartExchange historical prices. Those figures describe the wider market, rather than demand for the new service.
In the company’s launch announcement, Chief Operating Officer Alvin Kan described wallets as evolving into everyday financial hubs for receiving and moving money. The company says it serves more than 100 million users; that figure is its overall user base, not the number who have opened Virtual Accounts.

BTCBitget Wallet deposits become USDT or USDC
The rollout connects conventional payment instructions to a crypto wallet. USD transfers can use ACH, Fedwire or SWIFT, while EUR transfers use SEPA. Noah supplies the receiving-account infrastructure, according to the companies.
For a freelancer, the practical change is that a client can send a bank payment using account details rather than first obtaining stablecoins. For someone funding their own wallet, it offers a route from a bank balance without first moving through a centralized exchange.
The product explanation says an approved USD account comes with routing and account numbers, while a EUR account provides an IBAN and BIC. It also qualifies the global pitch: geography and terms determine access, and some locations support only one currency or particular clearing networks.
The resulting wallet balance is a supported stablecoin, rather than a conventional dollar or euro cash balance. That distinction is particularly relevant to EUR receipts: customers should check the final token amount shown in the app rather than assume that a euro-denominated account number means euros remain on deposit.
Bitget Wallet describes the account as a dedicated receiving service. It does not provide cash deposits, cash withdrawals or the other standard operations of a regular personal bank account. Control of wallet keys also does not remove reliance on providers processing the incoming bank payment.
The launch follows a broader push to link bank rails and blockchain balances. Mastercard and BVNK’s stablecoin accounts and bank-payout platform addresses a related connection through financial-service integrations, while Bitget Wallet places receiving details directly inside its consumer wallet.
The $2 ACH example excludes extra costs
Bitget Wallet’s fee schedule lists ACH at $0.50 plus 0.3%, producing the advertised $2 charge on $500. Opening an account is free, but receiving money normally incurs charges.
For the same $500 amount, the published Fedwire formula produces $15.50 and SWIFT produces $31.50, before additional costs. SEPA carries a fixed €0.50 plus 0.3%.
Network fees and charges from the sending bank or payment provider can apply separately. The announcement compares its ACH example with an approximately 6% global remittance average attributed to World Bank data. That comparison does not establish the total saving for a particular transfer corridor or receiving currency.
Timing varies too. The help center allows up to three business days for ACH, same-day Fedwire, up to five business days for SWIFT and up to one business day for SEPA. The minimum deposit is $50 or €1; smaller transfers may fail.
Those differences complicate a single headline cost comparison. A sender’s chosen network affects both the bill and the waiting period, even when the destination wallet is unchanged.
Earlier Hyundai stablecoin remittance testing likewise examined the complete transfer process, including conversion and verification. A blockchain leg’s speed alone cannot establish how quickly a bank-funded payment becomes usable money.
Bitget Wallet refund offer has a cap
The launch promotion terms limit fee refunds to the first 1,000 qualifying first-time Virtual Account users in supported regions. The campaign runs from October 27 at 20:00 through December 31 at 23:59, UTC+8.
Standard charges apply first. Bitget Wallet then refunds eligible fees to the Rewards Account, rather than removing them before the transfer settles. At least 50 USD or EUR must arrive after fees, and refunds cover only the first 1,000 USD or EUR of the deposit.
Consequently, a transfer sent at exactly the qualifying threshold can fall short after charges. Free account opening, a promotional refund and a permanently free transfer are three different propositions.
The feature adds receiving capability to the wallet’s existing spending, transfer and investment tools. Its initial announcement did not disclose Virtual Account deposit volume, account-opening totals or an exact date for outbound bank transfers.
Broader sentiment was neutral when checked on October 28: Alternative.me’s Fear and Greed Index read 51, against 48 a day earlier. The Bitcoin-focused gauge does not measure confidence in this product or stablecoin redemption quality.
Fear & Greed Index
Oct. 28, 2026The next concrete milestone is outbound bank-transfer availability. Until then, the product’s utility depends on local eligibility, the amount credited after conversion and fees, and whether recipients can use the resulting stablecoins through the wallet’s existing services.
