United Stables adopted Chainlink as the data-oracle and cross-chain infrastructure provider for its U stablecoin, putting live price feeds and collateral checks behind an asset that CoinGecko valued near $1.05 billion on Wednesday while reserving cross-chain transfers for a later rollout.
The move gives the BNB Chain-native dollar token two live Chainlink services, Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve, and places Chainlink CCIP on its roadmap. United Stables said the setup is meant to support its expansion across decentralized finance, but it did not announce a date or the first routes for CCIP-enabled U transfers.
CoinGecko listed U at roughly $1.0003, with a $1.046 billion market capitalization and about $16.5 million in 24-hour trading volume when checked by Daily Crypto Briefs. Its dollar price ranged from about $0.9994 to $1.0006 over the past month, while its tracked market value rose from roughly $1.01 billion to $1.05 billion.
United Stables said it selected Chainlink after an extensive security review, calling the network its official data and cross-chain infrastructure, according to crypto.news’ report of the announcement. The company said Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve are live, while its statement describes CCIP as the next step rather than an activated transfer rail.
The announcement arrives as Chainlink is steadily becoming the shared plumbing for token movement and verification. Daily Crypto Briefs recently covered Mantle’s shift from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, a separate migration that shows why protocol teams are treating interoperability infrastructure as a material operating choice rather than a background integration.

UChainlink Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve Go Live for U
The immediate change is not a new stablecoin or a new blockchain. It is the addition of data and reserve-verification services to one that already exists. United Stables said Chainlink Data Feeds provide decentralized market data for more than 20 lending protocols, while Proof of Reserve supplies automated cryptographic checks of the collateral behind U.
Those functions address different risks. A lending protocol needs a reliable price input when it decides how much a borrower can take out or when collateral should be liquidated. A reserve check is meant to provide evidence that the assets intended to support a token are present. Neither service is a promise that every venue will quote exactly $1 or that all issuer, custody and redemption risks disappear.
U launched on BNB Chain in December 2025 with a reserve model that accepts dollar-backed stablecoins including USDT, USDC and USD1 as minting collateral, according to BNB Chain’s launch notice. That structure is designed to consolidate liquidity that otherwise sits in separate dollar tokens.
The BNB Chain post also described future support for EIP-3009, a standard for signature-based token transfers, and delegated execution. Those features may be useful for automated payments, but they are separate from the live Chainlink integrations and should not be read as confirmation that every planned product is already available.
The chosen setup has a practical DeFi angle. A user can see a token trade close to its peg and still need to ask whether a lending market is consuming dependable price data or whether the underlying collateral has a verifiable trail. That distinction has become more consequential as stablecoins move from exchange settlement into lending, liquidity pools and business payments.
U’s $1 Billion Scale Puts Its Reserve Claims Under Focus
United Stables’ announcement said U had exceeded $1 billion in circulating supply and reported more than $2.5 billion in average daily trading volume. The latter figure differs sharply from CoinGecko’s roughly $16.5 million 24-hour volume reading at publication, which can reflect different venues, time windows or methodology. The company did not provide a calculation method in the announcement that would allow a direct comparison.
The current market data does support the narrower scale claim. CoinGecko’s tracked capitalization grew by about 3.5% across the month, even as U’s price stayed tightly centered on $1. That is the pattern a dollar token aims to show, but a steady chart is not a substitute for redemption disclosures, reserve composition and independent verification.
United Stables’ terms say each token is intended to maintain a value approximately equivalent to one U.S. dollar, while also stating that the issuer does not guarantee its secondary-market value. The same page identifies United Stables Limited as a British Virgin Islands company and says it has not obtained authorization under several named stablecoin regimes, including the U.S. GENIUS Act and the EU’s MiCA framework.
That language frames the Chainlink integration as a transparency and infrastructure step, not a regulatory approval. It may make collateral and data easier for protocols to inspect, while leaving questions about legal status, redemption terms and custody arrangements in the issuer’s own disclosures.
The broader market is increasingly testing that line between technical proof and financial responsibility. Our coverage of U.S. stablecoin customer-identification rules explains how regulators are focusing on direct issuer relationships even as tokens continue moving through secondary markets and self-hosted wallets.
Chainlink CCIP for U Transfers Is Still a Roadmap Item
CCIP is the part of the announcement with the widest potential distribution effect, but it is not live for U. Chainlink describes CCIP as an interoperability protocol for moving tokens and sending messages between blockchains. United Stables said it intends to use it for cross-chain U transfers as the stablecoin expands across BNB Chain, Ethereum and TRON.
That wording leaves important operational details unanswered. The companies did not name a launch date, supported corridors, transfer caps, fee schedule, liquidity providers or a migration process for existing U holders. It was also not immediately clear whether U will use a burn-and-mint model, a locked-liquidity model or another CCIP implementation design.
The staged rollout is significant because the risks change when a token moves between networks. Price feeds and reserve checks help a protocol assess a token on a chain; an interoperability layer must also handle messages, token supply and settlement across chains without creating duplicate or stranded balances. That is why Chainlink’s CCIP pitch, and its use in other projects, is about security controls as well as reach.
Daily Crypto Briefs has also followed Chainlink’s institutional push through Project Pangea’s work with 47 banks. U is a different case: it is a crypto-native stablecoin looking to make its collateral, pricing and future transfers easier for DeFi protocols to use.
Fear & Greed Index
July 22, 2026The next verifiable milestone is a CCIP deployment notice naming the chains and mechanics, followed by data that shows whether U’s use in lending and transfers grows. Until then, the confirmed development is narrower: Chainlink Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve are live for a roughly $1 billion stablecoin, while its cross-chain phase remains a plan.
