NEW YORK, November 2, 2026
Nvidia and Nike have joined 50 issuers objecting to third-party tokenized versions of their shares trading on OKXICE, narrowing the OKX and Intercontinental Exchange venture’s proposed offering as crypto platforms expand into stocks.
The venue’s October 30 public notice adds 12 companies compared with its October 28 disclosure. The development involves new issuer decisions with consequences for trading eligibility, rather than a change in the platform’s technology or a newly announced industrywide restriction.
Bitcoin closed November 1 at $78,230.55, up 1.042%, after trading between $77,370 and $78,528, according to ChartExchange’s historical table. These completed UTC-session figures describe the broader crypto market, not a measured reaction to the stock-token objections.

BTCNvidia and Nike join OKXICE’s issuer vetoes
In its October 30 notice, OKXICE identifies Nvidia, Nike, Costco, Micron and Reddit among the issuers that have submitted objections. The document lists the companies without explaining their individual reasons.
The other additions are CrowdStrike, Corning, IREN, USA Rare Earth, Bloom Energy, Palo Alto Networks and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. None appears in the objection list in the October 28 version, which names 38 companies.
That changes the position since Daily Crypto Briefs reported nine issuer objections, including CoreWeave and Broadcom. Nvidia and the other new objectors are exercising the same regulatory safeguard, removing additional recognizable names from the venture’s potential third-party-token offering.
The total should not be read as 50 cancellations from a fixed launch inventory. The original public notice proposed 63 stock symbols, representing 62 companies because Alphabet had two share classes. Some objectors, including Cerebras, were not in that initial inventory.
A proposed symbol list also does not establish funded trading pools, customer access or completed transactions. Those operational measures would be needed to show how much stock-token activity the venue actually attracts.
SEC’s 30-day rule controls stock-token eligibility
The SEC’s September 17 exemption requires advance written notice before a venue makes available stock tokens created by a third party unaffiliated with the underlying issuer. Trading cannot start until at least 30 calendar days after the company receives that notice.
A written objection submitted within that period prevents the venue from offering those tokens under the exemption. The operator must update its public notice within five business days of receiving a timely objection. A PDF’s publication date therefore does not identify the day every company made its decision.
The mechanism has a defined scope. Nasdaq’s issuer FAQ explains that an objection applies to the venue concerned, rather than supplying a blanket opt-out from every tokenized-securities venue. It also distinguishes third-party tokenization from arrangements initiated by the issuer itself.
Nasdaq identifies potential price dislocation, recordkeeping and liquidity concerns as issues companies can consider. Those general considerations do not establish why Nvidia, Nike or any other named company objected. Their motives were not disclosed in the notices reviewed for this article.
The result is a narrower route to stock exposure on a particular platform. It does not establish that the objecting companies have rejected every use of blockchain technology, and it does not change where their conventional shares trade.
This is the issuer safeguard within the SEC’s five-year trading exemption, rather than a separate enforcement action against OKXICE. Permission to use a market structure remains conditional on satisfying the framework for each eligible security.
OKXICE still gives no confirmed opening date
The venture’s current public page, reviewed November 2, continues to describe the venue as coming. It does not confirm when live trading will begin. November 3 falls 30 days after the original October 4 public notice, but that arithmetic does not establish a launch appointment or satisfy every issuer’s separate waiting period.
The October 28 operating description sets out permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on XLayer, with stock tokens paired against payment stablecoins such as USDC and USDG. Approved wallets receive a nontransferable access token after identity and wallet screening. The design uses automated pools rather than an order book matching bids and offers.
Under the described third-party model, the tokenizer acts through a registered broker-dealer holding underlying shares one-for-one against outstanding tokens. The venue evaluates backing documentation and procedures for dividends, voting and corporate actions. Those safeguards address token structure; they do not override an issuer’s timely objection.
Alternative.me’s Fear & Greed Index read 37, or Fear, when checked November 2, compared with 34 previously. The Bitcoin sentiment gauge does not measure demand for OKXICE’s proposed stock pools.
