TL;DR

  • Trust Wallet AI is available to users running version 26.28.4 or later and can answer portfolio and market questions, surface risk flags, and prepare swaps, buys and sends.
  • The feature cannot execute a transaction or access private keys, Trust Wallet said; each onchain action requires the wallet owner to review and confirm it.
  • Trust Wallet said the AI provider receives a user's message, viewed token, wallet address and balance to generate answers, though the company said that data is not used to train models.

LONDON, July 24, 2026

Trust Wallet on Thursday released an in-app artificial-intelligence feature that can read a user’s holdings, flag potential token risks and prepare crypto transactions for approval, bringing AI-assisted wallet actions to a service the company says reaches more than 200 million users.

The feature, called Trust Wallet AI, is available to users on version 26.28.4 or later. It can answer questions about a portfolio or market moves, then assemble a proposed swap, purchase or transfer inside the self-custody wallet, according to the company’s July 24 announcement.

Trust Wallet Token, or TWT, traded near $0.3411 when checked, up 1.6% over 24 hours, with a market capitalization of about $142.3 million and daily volume near $7.3 million, according to CoinGecko market data. The token had moved between roughly $0.3305 and $0.3630 from July 8 through July 15, but there was no evidence in the available data that Thursday’s product release alone drove its price.

Trust Wallet said the distinction between preparing an action and signing it is central to the launch. “Nothing executes until you confirm,” the company said, adding that the tool cannot access private keys or move assets autonomously.

Trust Wallet AI Goes Live in Version 26.28.4

The release moves a tool that Trust Wallet said had been running with a group of early users into its broader customer base. Users can ask how their portfolio performed, ask about a token, or ask the wallet to prepare a chosen action without leaving the app.

The announcement is part of a wider push to put AI interfaces closer to wallet and payment activity. Earlier this month, Alchemy connected its AgentCard platform to Visa’s agentic-commerce tools, a separate model in which software gets payment credentials and defined controls for approved purchases.

Trust Wallet’s product is narrower than an autonomous trading agent. The company said it provides information only and does not recommend buying, selling or holding any asset. It also cautioned that market and portfolio information may come from third parties and may be delayed or inaccurate.

The rollout gives a large self-custody application a more conversational interface at a time when crypto platforms are trying to reduce the friction of swaps, token research and transaction construction. It does not alter the basic risk of an irreversible blockchain transfer: the user still decides whether to sign the final transaction.

The Wallet Agent Can Prepare, Not Execute, Transactions

Trust Wallet said a request such as swapping ETH for USDC, sending BNB or buying a token can produce an action for the user to inspect. The company said the feature works on a read-and-prepare basis, meaning every onchain action still requires an explicit confirmation.

That design is material because an assistant that could broadcast transactions would add a new control point between a wallet owner and an irreversible transfer. By stopping before signature, Trust Wallet is positioning the AI as a transaction-construction layer rather than a custodian or discretionary trader.

The product also surfaces risk signals for look-alike tokens, low-liquidity assets and potential honeypots. A honeypot is a token or contract that can allow purchases but restrict sales or withdrawals. Trust Wallet said those flags are prompts for further research, not a guarantee that an asset or transaction is safe.

The distinction has become more important as agents move from answering questions to touching financial workflows. Daily Crypto Briefs recently reported that AI agents accounted for 19% of onchain activity, although that measure covers a broader group of applications and does not show how many users will delegate transaction preparation to a wallet assistant.

Portfolio Data and AI Risk Alerts Set the Limits

The feature’s personalized answers depend on data leaving the wallet interface. Trust Wallet said it sends a user’s message, the token being viewed, wallet address and balance to its AI infrastructure provider to generate an output. The company said that data is not used to train AI models.

Its privacy notice says the company may use trusted third-party AI providers under contractual and confidentiality obligations to deliver AI services. Wallet owners should still treat an address and balance as sensitive financial information even if private keys remain local, especially when a prompt could reveal more context about an intended trade.

Trust Wallet says its security tools serve more than 200 million users and are designed to identify scams and unsafe contract interactions. That reach gives the launch distribution, but the company has not disclosed how many users had access during the early rollout, which AI provider generates the outputs, or the geographic availability of the public version.

The broader Crypto Fear and Greed Index stood at 28, or Fear, when checked. The Bitcoin-focused reading does not assess Trust Wallet’s product, but it is a reminder that market context and software safeguards are separate questions.

What comes next is whether the company publishes adoption data, expands the transactions the assistant can prepare, or details additional privacy and security controls. For users, the immediate checkpoint is simpler: verify the token, contract address, destination, amount and network before approving any wallet-generated action.
